Exceed is a medical microneedling device by MT.DERM. Controlled micro-channels encourage the skin to renew, with the option to add PRP.
Overview
Exceed microneedling is a medical microneedling treatment using a device by MT.DERM. Fine needles create controlled micro-channels in the skin at a precise depth, prompting the skin’s natural healing response and new collagen. It is used to improve texture, fine lines, enlarged pores and acne scarring, and can be paired with PRP.

Your visit
01
Your provider evaluates your skin, history and goals, and recommends depth, number of sessions and whether PRP should be added.
02
A topical numbing cream is applied first. The device is then moved across the skin in passes. Treatment itself takes about 20 to 30 minutes, about an hour with numbing.
03
Expect redness similar to a mild sunburn for one to three days. Use gentle skincare, skip makeup for about 24 hours, avoid heat and sweating for a day, and wear sunscreen daily.
Results
Skin often looks brighter within a week as redness settles. Changes in texture, fine lines and scarring build gradually as new collagen forms, so the most meaningful improvement typically appears over the months following a series of sessions. Deeper concerns such as acne scars usually need more sessions. Adding PRP may support recovery. Maintenance treatments help sustain results. Individual results vary.
Exceed is a medical microneedling device made by MT.DERM, a German manufacturer. It uses fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin at a set depth. This prompts the skin’s natural repair process and new collagen. It is performed in a clinical setting by a trained provider.
A topical numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes before treatment, so most clients feel light pressure or a mild scratching sensation. Bony areas such as the forehead can feel more sensitive. Your provider adjusts depth by area and checks in throughout so you stay comfortable.
Most clients have redness similar to a mild sunburn for one to three days, sometimes with slight dryness or flaking as skin renews. Many return to work the next day. Avoid makeup for about 24 hours, skip active skincare for several days and wear sunscreen daily.
PRP, made from a small sample of your own blood, can be applied during microneedling. Many providers use it to support healing and results, particularly for texture and scarring. It adds a blood draw and some time to your visit. Your provider will let you know whether it is worth adding for your goals.
Microneedling may not be suitable with active acne breakouts, cold sores or skin infection in the area, during pregnancy, after recent isotretinoin use, or with a history of keloid scarring. Certain skin conditions may also need a different approach. Your provider will review your history at your consultation.
